Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Proof Academy (proofacademy.org) respects your privacy. This plain-English policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to students, parents and account holders.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to students using Proof Academy, parents or guardians who create or pay for an account, and anyone who contacts us. If a school, tutor or parent buys access for a student, they should make sure the student understands the main points on this page.
What we collect
- Your name and email, to create and run your account or reply to a message.
- Course access records, so the app knows which GCSE or A-level subjects, plans and purchases belong to your account.
- Learning-performance metrics, including quiz attempts, scores, topic progress, submitted work and feedback history.
- Payment and entitlement records needed to manage account status, subscriptions, invoices and access.
What we do not need
- Proof Academy does not ask for unnecessary student personal information.
- We do not need bank details, government ID, unrelated demographic profiles or private school records outside the work submitted to Proof Academy.
- We do not sell student data, build advertising profiles from student learning records or use student work for targeted ads.
Why we use data
- To provide the service: accounts, course access, quizzes, stored MCQ sets, feedback, dashboards and support.
- To personalise learning: ProofCoach uses marks, missed topics and submitted work to suggest repair paths.
- To manage payments: Stripe handles payment processing; Proof Academy keeps the records needed to unlock access and support billing questions.
- To protect the service: we may use account, payment and activity records to prevent misuse, investigate support issues and keep audit trails.
Payments and financial data
Proof Academy does not directly collect or store card numbers or bank details. Payments, subscriptions, billing details, and financial information are processed securely by Stripe. Proof Academy stores only the payment and entitlement information required to manage course access, subscriptions, invoices, and account status.
AI and learning data
Some Proof Academy features use AI to generate practice, summarise weak areas or provide feedback. AI outputs are study support, not official exam-board marks or guaranteed predictions. Students should avoid putting unnecessary personal information into free-text answers.
Students under 18
Proof Academy is designed for school-age learners and is likely to be used by students under 18. Younger users should have an account set up, paid for or overseen by a parent or guardian. We aim to use clear language, collect only what is needed for learning support, and avoid unnecessary profiling or advertising use.
Parents or guardians can contact us about a child's account, billing or deletion request. We may need to verify the request before changing or disclosing account information.
Retention and deletion
We keep account, entitlement and learning records for as long as needed to provide the service, handle support, maintain audit records and meet legal or tax obligations. You can request deletion from the dashboard account area or through the contact form. Some records may need to be retained in limited form where required for payments, security, legal compliance or dispute handling.
Security and processors
Proof Academy uses service providers such as Supabase for accounts and data storage, Stripe for payments, email providers for support messages, and AI providers for selected learning features. We use these providers to operate the platform and expect them to protect data under their own security and data-processing commitments.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data from the dashboard account area or through our contact form. See also our Terms and Safety & AI.
